Everyone loves to lay back and enjoy a massage. Facial massages are one thing you want in your portfolio to incorporate into other treatment or offer as a stand-alone for clients. You start by massaging the skin on the face, neck, and shoulder by stimulating pressure points. You’ll follow up with cleansing balms, lotions, and oils to nourish the skin and target any specific skincare concerns your client might have.
Facial massages will form the backbone of any of your skin treatments and they’re the perfect place to start your training if you’re new to the industry or want to refresh your skill.
Facial massages are a relaxing and non-invasive treatment that you can perform with additional skincare products as an add-on to another treatment or as a stand-alone. At Ultimate Beauty Academy, we’ve designed our facial massage training course with both these possibilities in mind. Facial massages are one of the most popular treatments you can add to your portfolio. It helps to address a myriad of concerns, including anti-ageing, uneven complexions, and muscle stress.
Course Outline
We’ll start by teaching you how to relax the client through energy balancing techniques, allowing you to detect areas of tension on the face and neck, loosing habitual facial expressions. Getting your client to relax is the key to a successful facial massage.
Our facial massage training course uses specialised lifting techniques, focusing on using only your fingers to help smooth the skin to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. We’ll teach you deeper techniques to use to unblock the connective tissue in the dermis and naturally lift the facial muscles.
These massage techniques help improve the circulation in the skin, encouraging movement of the tissue. The treatment finishes with a focus on lymphatic drainage, followed by a head massage and ground techniques to relieve the client of any remaining stress.
As part of the aftercare module, we’ll teach you specific facial exercises that you can share with your client to tone their facial muscles and allow them to maximise the benefits from their treatment.
